SUSS Various Scholarships in Singapore 2022

This is a premier scheme aimed at providing high calibre students the opportunity to develop their full potential in their chosen discipline.

Who is Eligible?

The Scholarship is open to all full-time undergraduates who have completed at least 2 semesters (1 year) of studies at point of scholarship application.

You must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with good academic and co-curricular activities records, active participation in community service, possess strong language skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Tenure of Scholarship

Each scholarship is awarded for the recipient’s remaining candidature of study (within the normal candidature period).

Value of Scholarship

The award covers 100% of course fee (inclusive of government tuition grant) for recipient’s remaining candidature of study. It includes course materials, examination fee and other compulsory fees, as well as Miscellaneous Fees. There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

How to Apply?

Application period: 1 February to 31 March

To apply for the SUSS Scholarship, you need to submit your application online by the stipulated closing date.

Previously unsuccessful candidates need not re-apply. Only successful candidates shall be notified via email by mid-May.

The decision of the Student Awards Committee of SUSS is final and binding, and no reason will be given for the non-selection of unsuccessful candidates. No appeal will be entertained.

Kewalram Chanrai Group Scholarship

This is a premier scheme aimed at providing high calibre students the opportunity to develop their full potential.

Who is Eligible?

  • Full-time female undergraduate from the S R Nathan School of Human Development;
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with good academic and co-curricular activities records, active participation in community service, possess strong language skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities; and
  • Completed at least 2 semesters (1 year) of studies with at least a cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.0 at point of scholarship application.

Tenure of Scholarship

This Scholarship is to be awarded on an annual basis, and eligible students have to apply for it annually. There is no bond attached to the Scholarship.

Value of Scholarship

Each award is S$7,500 and will be used to offset the recipient’s tuition fees for the following academic year (2 semesters).

Mohamed Abdul Jaleel Scholarship

This is a premier scheme aimed at providing high calibre students the opportunity to develop their full potential.

Who is Eligible?

  • Full-time undergraduate from the S R Nathan School of Human Development;
  • Singapore Citizen with good academic and co-curricular activities records, active participation in community service and possess strong language skills; and
  • Monthly household Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$2,250 or lower. Priority will be given to students with financial difficulties.

Tenure of Scholarship

This Scholarship is to be awarded on an annual basis, and eligible students have to apply for it annually. There is no bond attached to the Scholarship.

Value of Scholarship

Each award is S$7,500 and is to be used within the following academic year (2 semesters) to offset the recipient’s tuition fees, or expenses for regional immersion programme or other educational activities organised by the SUSS, provided that the use of the scholarship fund for the regional programme/activities shall not exceed 25% of the scholarship value.

Temasek Foundation Sunburst Scholarship [New]

This is a premier scheme aimed at providing high calibre students the opportunity to develop their full potential.

Who is Eligible?

  • Open to all full-time undergraduates (Singapore Citizens, and Permanent Residents/International Students from ASEAN member countries) with excellent academic and leadership merits.
    Please note that the current application period of 1 August to 30 September 2021 is only open to International Students from ASEAN member countries. For Singaporean students, the next round of applications will open in 2022.

Tenure and Value of Scholarship

This Scholarship will support recipients during their 4-year study at SUSS. It will cover costs for the following:

  • Tuition fees and approved charges
  • Living allowance
  • Approved overseas exchange programme grant
  • Learning journey (within Singapore)

For ASEAN students whose families are not staying in Singapore, a grant will also be provided for return economy-class airfare to their home country during their 4-year stint at SUSS.

To apply for the Scholarship, you need to submit your application online. Shortlisted candidates will be informed to attend an interview. For new students, you must submit your admission e-application first before submitting your application for the Scholarship.

Only successful candidates shall be notified via email by end November.
