School of Computer Science Postgraduate Coursework Diversity Scholarship

Expanding and enriching the School’s student community by recognising and supporting outstanding students from diverse cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

How to apply

No separate application is required.

Applicants who apply for the School of Computer Science Postgraduate Coursework Entry Scholarship will automatically be considered for the Diversity Scholarship.

Benefits

This scholarship is valued at $6000 for one year only. Students enrolled part-time will receive 50% of the full-time rate of this scholarship and will be tenable for a two year period.

Who’s eligible

You must:

  • be an international student whose country of origin/citizenship is in Latin America, the Middle East or Asia Pacific. 
  • have an unconditional offer of admission at the University of Sydney for one the following postgraduate coursework programs: Master of Information Technology, Master of Data Science, Master of Information Technology Management, or the combined Master of Information Techology/Master of Information Technology Management at the time of the scholarship application closing date, for the relevant semester it is being offered for. 
  • have achieved a minimum distinction average (equivalent to 75 at the University of Sydney) in your undergraduate studies
  • be commencing your degree in the same semester and year the scholarship is offered.

Note: You are not eligible if you have already commenced your studies in one of the above named programs in the faculty, or you are transferring into one of those programs from another postgraduate program.

The School of Computer Science Diversity Scholarship aims to expand and enrich the School’s student community by recognising and supporting outstanding students from diverse cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The scholarship helps them achieve their academic goals in information technology.
