Royal Holloway, University of London Scholarship for MA Holocaust Studies degree

This scholarship is available to a new full-time student with Home or International fee status studying for an MA Holocaust Studies degree and has been established by alumni Jane Willoughby and Ingram Losner.

The scholarship is offered as a tuition fee reduction of £7,300 and is available for one year of study. 

Am I eligible?

You need to have achieved, or be expected to achieve, a First Class Honours degree or equivalent.

You must also hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study MA Holocaust Studies at Royal Holloway.

How do I apply?

Applications must be submitted through RH Direct by 11.59pm (UK time) 11 July 2022. Applicants will be made aware of the outcome of their application after 26 July 2022.

Application guidelines

Applications must include the following:

A scholarship statement covering the following points with no more than 500 words per question (please note that statements that exceed the word count will automatically be rejected):

  • academic achievements you are particularly proud of
  • why have you chosen to do the degree you have applied for 
  • how will you use the MA in your future research and career path and how will the scholarship help you achieve it.

Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above. 

The following must also be provided:

  • You must provide one written academic reference (up to 200 words). These must be from academics who have previously supported, taught or worked with you. Please ask the academic to email their reference letter (on official headed paper) directly to humanities-school@rhul.ac.uk.
  • As well as your statement, you will need to upload your most recent grades transcript from your undergraduate degree. Any applications that are submitted without an uploaded transcript will be rejected.
