The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to student education through curriculum development and delivery of teaching activities in medical sciences (pharmacology). They will be expected to contribute to innovation in teaching and learning and advance pedagogical knowledge through publications or other forms of scholarship.

About You

The applicant is expected to have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area (pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences or pharmacy) and preferably evidence of a higher education teaching accreditation. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level in various settings. About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The post is situated within the Institute for Health Sciences Education (IHSE), one of seven Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Barts and The London, Queen Mary University of London. The institute is responsible for the delivery of the medical and healthcare degree programmes and specializes in medical education. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of educators within IHSE with a passion for delivering high quality medical science education.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date three weeks after the closing date of advertisement. The starting salary will be Grade 7, in the range of £58,378 – £65,252 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
