PhD Scholarship in Environmental Humanities at Ghent University, Belgium

This is a scholarship program, invite international student to study PhD in the field of Law and Humanity in Ghent University.  The successful candidate will also participate in the research project “Literature, Nature, and Ecology: An Ecopoetic Approach to Contemporary Narrative Prose in English, French, German, and Italian,” too. This project will also employ the PhD to help running the project too. Please find further information here:

Where: Ghent University, Belgium

Nationality: International Candidates

Degree Program: PhD degree, Job offered. (Two-years, up to four years’ time)

Field of study: The PhD student will complete the doctoral training programme offered by the Doctoral School of Arts, Humanities, and Law.

Occupancy Rate: 100%

Benefit of the Job:

  • The net amount of the scholarship will be approximately €1900 per month. This scholarship could rise to €2100 per month in the fourth year.
  • Holidays allowance as well as End-of the year bonus
  • Additional support for conference and workshop attendance.

Eligible:

  • Possess a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as English, Comparative Literature, or Environmental Humanities.
  • Have an outstanding academic record
  • Excellent in English Writing and Speaking
  • Demonstrate a reading knowledge of at least one of the other three project languages.
  • Have an attitude of working independently, creative as well as working as a team
