Law Teaching Studentship 2018 at Maynooth University National University of Ireland

Funded students teaching assistant opportunities are now open for application across various discipline in the Maynooth University. Among that, the Department of Law is pleased to call for 2 PhD students, who want to intake their studies in October 2018.

Where: Maynooth University National University of Ireland, Ireland

Nationality: International Candidates

Degree program: PhD studies in Law (Up to 5 years study)

Value of Scholarship: Full tuition fee, and a fixed stipend of €9007 per annum

Duties: PhD students will:

  • Work on their PhD research.
  • Will support the teaching and assessment duties of their Department (Law Department) up to a maximum of 455 hours per annum.
  • Attend meeting associated with the teaching they support as appropriate.
  • Be available for a consultation for Undergraduate students…



Eligible:

  • Applicants must have LLM in Law, or a relevant master’s degree accepted by the department.
  • Demonstrate Excellent research skill.
  • Be excellent at both oral and written communication, language skills.
  • Good interpersonal skill and presentation skill.
  • Best time-management
  • Be able to hold and accept all responsibility and act accordingly.
  • Work independently, and as part of a team; as well as able to work under supervision

How to apply: Applicants for the studentship, must apply to the Admission of Law PhD from the University. After having received a conditional offer of acceptance onto the Law PhD programme, Applicants for the studentship have to submit the following documents to email: law@mu.ie by deadline.

  • A CV detailing academic experience, and any prior teaching experience;
  • A cover letter outlining their motivation and suitability for the role. 
  • Applicants may be shortlisted for interview and, if so, will be contacted directly the Department.
