Knight Visiting Nieman Fellowships at Harvard University, USA

The Knight Visiting Nieman Fellowship is offering a short-term research fund to individual who are interested in working on a special project designed to advance journalism in one country.

Where: Harvard University, United States of America

Nationality: International Candidates

Programme: Short-term Research Fellowship (no more than 12 months)

Financial Support: Fellow will be awarded a stipend of $1,350 per week by the foundation (only for those who are not support by their employer during the fellowship period)

Eligible:

  • The Project Proposal must have the potential to advance Journalism
  • Applicants shall be journalists, publishers, technologists, entrepreneurs, programmers, designers, media analysts, academics and others, who want to make a positive change in society.
  • Candidates must be able to be in residence in Cambridge, Mass, in the period of the fellowship.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  2. A résumé or curriculum vitae
  3. A contact information for 3 professional reference
  4. A 600-word project proposal—an essay that describes the project you plan to pursue as a visiting fellow at Harvard. The essay shall answer the following questions: Which particular Harvard or local resources will be especially important and useful? How, specifically, will you use your fellowship time to advance the project? What will be the end product or result of your fellowship? How will your work benefit journalism?
