Overview

Our International Leadership Scholarships provide tuition remission scholarships to students with outstanding leadership experience and community involvement, applying to study at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Our International Leadership Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and evidence of outstanding leadership and community achievements, and are a testament to Bond University’s commitment to quality international students.

Being an International Leadership Scholar

As an International Leadership Scholar, you will be awarded with AUD$10,000 tuition remission, paid in two equal AUD$5,000 instalments in your first two semesters of study*, and will commence at Bond in either the January, May or September semester.

As an International Leadership Scholarship applicant, you will need to demonstrate your leadership and academic achievements.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • Have achieved a minimum academic result of ATAR 84.00 or IB Diploma 30 (or equivalent) for undergraduate applicants or achieved commendable results from undergraduate studies for postgraduate applicants.
  • Be a citizen of one of the countries listed above, or an international student currently residing in Australia (any nationality).  
  • Provide evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school/university and/or community. Learn how you can do this in the application preparation section below.  
  • Not have already commenced undergraduate studies at Bond University. Note: Those studying English at Bond University College as part of a packaged Offer are eligible to apply.
  • Meet the standard entry requirements for your chosen program of study.

Please note: Citizens of Ghana and Nigeria are only eligible to apply for this scholarship if applying for postgraduate study. Undergraduate applicants from Ghana and Nigeria are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. 

How to apply

Applying directly to Bond University?  

If you meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship, we encourage you to apply by following the below steps:

  1. Complete the Bond University Study Application Form to lodge your application for your chosen program. Learn more about this process.
  2. Complete the Bond University Scholarship Application Form. Simply use the same log-in details as used for your study application and enter ‘scholarship’ in the keyword field on the ‘Start an Application’ tab.  

You must complete and submit your scholarship application before the application closing date as no late scholarship applications will be considered!

Applying through an agent?

Preparation Application

Please contact your agent for details on how you must apply for both your program and scholarship. 

  • Do I need to prepare anything for my application? Yes! As an International Leadership Scholarship applicant, you will be required to submit a Supporting Statement. Your statement should include evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school/university and/or community. Download our Supporting Statement Template (PDF), complete and save this form, and attach it to your application in the Supporting Documents section.  

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

Yes! We encourage you to apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible for. This should all be done in the one scholarship application form. You will only be considered for the scholarships you have applied for so ensure you have included them all in your application before you submit it! 

Applications for this scholarship are currently open for all upcoming semesters. If you meet the stated eligibility criteria, we suggest completing your scholarship application shortly after submitting your program application, and no later than 2 weeks prior to start of your commencing semester.

If you are awarded with a scholarship, you will be provided with a deadline date to accept your program and scholarship offer.
