SAE Australia offers a range of domestic scholarships to assist students during their studies. Our scholarship program is about investing in future professionals and rewarding creative and academic excellence.

The Australian Government and SAE Creative Media Institute are now offering the Destination Australia Scholarships to both Domestic and International Students who undertake study at the SAE Byron Bay, NSW.

Scholarship details

A cash amount of up to $15,000 (AUD$), for each year of full-time study at SAE Byron Bay.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants can be a domestic or international student
  • Applicants must be a commencing student enrolled full time at the SAE Byron Bay (on-campus study)
  • Applicants can demonstrate academic and/or professional achievement, strong leadership or industry excellence, and a creative passion OR can demonstrate financial hardship or other barriers to studying at SAE Institute and a creative passion.
  • Applicants must meet SAE’s published entry requirements

Applications are now open.

Apply for intake in May 2020.

Applications will be reviewed and scholarships awarded as submissions are received.

Terms & Conditions

The following conditions apply:

  • The recipient must maintain and demonstrate residency in the regional area at the time of commencing study and for the duration of the scholarship; 
  • International recipients must maintain a valid Student Visa for the duration of the scholarship;
  • The successful applicant will be asked to verify residency throughout the duration of the scholarship;
  • A Destination Australia Scholarship at SAE Byron Bay is not transferrable to other SAE campuses;
  • Recipients must be a newly enrolled student to SAE Australia – current SAE students are not eligible for the scholarship. Alumni applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Recipients must enrol in a full-time course for the duration of the qualification at SAE Byron Bay campus;
  • Scholarships are only available for Higher Education courses – VET Diploma and Certificate III in Music Industry are not eligible;

Your application

You will need to provide a 250-word statement explaining ‘Why I should receive an SAE Scholarship?’ and provide a portfolio of work.
