Here you can find details of the scholarships, bursaries and discounts available to international students which can be used together to reduce your tuition fees.
We have a range of scholarships, bursaries and discounts available to international students. You will need to apply separately for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, the International Excellent Student Scholarship and the GREAT Scholarship, but all others are assessed for eligibility alongside your application.
Our new EU Transition Bursary offers financial support to our European students. If you normally reside in the EU and are starting your undergraduate or postgraduate taught course in September 2021 or January 2022, you could be eligible for this reduction in your tuition fees. If you have home fee status or have EU settled or pre-settled status in the UK, you are not eligible for international scholarships but you may be eligible for the Derby Achievement Scholarship.
You must be applying for a full-time degree. Applications for postgraduate research, online studies, foundation and pre-sessional language programmes are not eligible for a discount or scholarship.
Scholarships with separate application
You will need to apply separately for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, the International Excellent Student Scholarship and the GREAT Scholarship. You can apply for all three scholarships at the same time, but will only be awarded one if your application is successful. The deadline for applications is 1 July 2021 at 23:59 BST. Decisions on the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship and GREAT Scholarships will be made after this date.
