Australia Awards Cambodia

Australia Awards Cambodia (AAC) is a multi-year program (June 2018-May 2026) managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of the Australian Government, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

AAC provides access to prestigious long and short-term study and training opportunities consistent with the Australia Awards Global Strategic Framework (2021-2024).

AAC is also responsible for managing the delivery of a portfolio of MAP-funded activities for Cambodia including scholarships, short courses and training opportunities in target sectors and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across all parts of Australia Award Scholarships (AAS) and Australia Awards Short Term Award (AASTA) (short courses and informal learning opportunities) cycles, including promotion, eligibility, selection, etc.
  • Contribute to forward planning to ensure preparedness of the office of tasks for the AAS cycle
  • Ensure effective management of all AAS applicant documentation (electronic and hard copy) and manage the process of document and identity verification for progressing applicants
  • Assist the Awards Manager in all aspects of English language training (ELT), pre-departure training (PDT), placement, visa preparation and lodgment and mobilisation of Awardees
  • Provide instruction to staff as needed on eligibility and assessment procedures to ensure quality control of the process and result

Selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated high level administrative experience, preferably in an international development context
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience providing logistical and liaison support to a large project or program
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating travel arrangements for a project or program
