You’re planning to pursue a computer science or engineering degree in college

Planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or other computer science related field of study and are planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university (or an accredited 2-year college, with the intent to transfer to a 4-year institution).

You’ve tried computer science or hardware engineering (examples of hardware engineering include robotics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, etc.), and you want to learn more

To be eligible for this one, you need to have taken computer science or hardware engineering classes in high school or at a college dual program, or currently be enrolled in one.

Examples include:

  • International Baccalaureate Computer Science Course
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science
  • A or AP Computer Science Principles
  • Computer science through a college dual enrollment program
  • Engineering
  • Robotics
  • Physical Computing
  • Design Mechanics
  • Computer Manufacturing
  • Aerospace Engineering

You’ve got a financial gap to fill

You’re a high school senior with a 2.3 cumulative GPA

You don’t need to be a perfect student to be considered, just a student who takes their studies seriously. This one needs at least a 2.3 cumulative GPA out of a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.

Work Eligible in the United States for at least two years

This includes United States citizens, United States permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident Card), or Employment Authorized to work in the United States. Employment authorization must be valid for at least 2 years.
