Alagappa University Postdoctoral/Doctoral Fellowships for Overseas Candidates in India
Alagappa University invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDF)/Doctoral
Fellowships in various disciplines in the Faculty of Arts. The applicants should have
acquired Ph.D./Master degree from reputed institutions abroad with good
academic/research credentials.
Alagappa University, a State University re-accredited with A grade by National
Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is located at Karaikudi in Southern part of India.
The University established in the year 1985 has emerged as a centre of excellence in world class
teaching, high ended research in the frontier areas of science, arts, education and
management. The 430 acre green and lush campus is about 100 Kms away from Madurai and
Tiruchirappalli Airports.
Faculty of Management: Fellowships are open within the Faculty of Management in
the areas of HRM, Business Laws, Banking and Finance, International Business, E-commerce,
Monetary Banking, Rural Banking, Corporate Laws, Financial Services, Indirect Taxes,
Corporate Management, Logistic Management, Organisational Behaviour/Financial
Management, Foreign-Exchange Management, International Marketing, Entrepreneurial
Development, Technology Management and Retail Management. More details about faculty

Eligibility for PhD:
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for doctoral fellowship:
• The applicant should hold a Master Degree in the concerned discipline or in the
Interdisciplinary area awarded by a recognized University.
• The upper age limit for the fellowship is 25 years at the time of the submission of
application.
Fellowship and other benefits:
Selected Fellows will be awarded with a sum of Rs. 25,000/- per month as stipend
(consolidated) and a contingency grant of Rs. 50,000/- per annum for consumables and
domestic travel for attending conferences/seminars. International air travel is
permissible for the first time arrival by the shortest route from originating country by
economy class. The fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any
Government or Non-Governmental source during the tenure of the fellowship.
