7TH ASIA-PACIFIC URBAN FORUM

The Asia-Pacific Urban Forum is the largest and most diverse multi-stakeholder forum in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 1993, the Asia-Pacific Urban Forum has gathered urban stakeholders, engaged policymakers from local and national governments, financial institutions, NGOs and the private sector to discuss innovative solutions to the region’s most critical urban development challenges.

In 2019, the 7th Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-7) will provide the permanent regional platform to advance the 2030 Agenda for cities in the region and serve as the venue to launch The Future of Asia-Pacific Cities Report 2019 in partnership with Urbanice Malaysia, Asian Development Bank, UN-Habitat, the European Union, The Rockefeller Foundation, UNDP and Singapore’s Centre for Liveable Cities. Various multi-stakeholder leadership dialogues and interactive plenary sessions will examine several key emerging and critical urban issues which will revolve around the future of sustainable urban development in Asia-Pacific. The four thematic tracks to be addressed are: Innovative data and technologies for smart cities; Governance and capacity development for resilient cities; Urban and Territorial planning; and Municipal Finance.
