All level of Study Scholarship for International Students in Peking University, China

There are three kinds of scholarships currently available: The Chinese Government Scholarship – Chinese University Program (CGS); the Peking University Scholarship (PKUS), and the Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS).

Nationality: International student

Degree: B.A., M.A. and Ph.D.

Scholarship award: tuition fees

Duration: depends on level of your degree

Important information:

  • Information of each scholarship type has a few differences, so you should make sure that you read each of them carefully.

Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS):


  • You are not Chinese citizen.
  • You need to submit a graduate degree program application (M.A. or Ph.D.) to Peking University for 2017 in advanced.
  • You have not got any other scholarship in China.
  • For Chinese-instructed programs, there will be full tuition provided.
  • For English-instructed programs, the amount of tuition covered by the scholarship is 30000 CNY/academic year.
  • You will get living allowance, free accommodation, and medical insurance.
  • 2-3 years for master’s degree; 4 years for PhD.

Peking University Scholarship (PKUS) and Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS)

  • Applicants must have already submitted a degree program application (B.A., M.A., or Ph.D.) to Peking University for 2017.
  • Awards are given differently.
  • You have not got any fund or any other tuition scholarship.
