Women in Leadership MBA Award at University Canada West, Canada
University Canada West is providing $585,000 in awards over 2020 and 2021 to support Canadian women to pursue our Master of Business Administration degree. This award is available to applicants for full- or part-time study, either on-campus or online.
20 scholarships valued at $11,700 (50% of the total tuition fees) will be provided in 2020. An additional 5 awards valued at $23,400 (equal to 100% of MBA tuition) will also be available in 2020 for exceptional candidates. A further 20 scholarships will be available in 2021.
Purpose:
The purpose of this award is to attract and provide financial support for female students in the Master of Business Administration degree program at University Canada West who demonstrate the potential for success as leaders in their chosen careers. Preference will be given, where possible, to candidates who demonstrate leadership experience or potential.
Criteria:
- Available for female applicants to the UCW MBA program.
- Must meet the MBA Admissions requirements.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Priority given to Indigenous applicants.
- Must demonstrate leadership abilities through work experience, volunteer roles, and/or community involvement and motivation to succeed in the program.
Award requirements:
Award recipients will act as MBA Ambassadors on social media and share their experience in the program with 24 related posts per year.
Award Process:
Applicants will be able to submit their award application with their application to the MBA program.
July 2020 Intake: Applications for this award open on April 15, 2020 and will be available on the website. The deadline to submit completed applications is May 31, 2020. Recipients of the award will be notified by June 15th.
October 2020 Intake: Applications for this award open on July 15, 2020 and will be available on the website. The deadline to submit completed applications is August 31, 2020. Recipients of the award will be notified by September 15th
