Women in Asia Conference 2019 UNSW Sydney

Women in Asia conference 2019 is under the title of Women in an Era of Anti-Elitism: Responding to the Challenge of Rising Populism and its Threat to Gender Inclusivity. A select number of papers will be considered for publications arising from the themes below:

  • Stream 1: Gendered processes of generation, accumulation and appropriation of political power
  • Stream 2: Women in Law in Asia: Navigating the Legal Profession and the Judiciary in an Era of Anti-Elitism
  • Stream 3: The Role of Technology in Populism and Gender Inclusion,
  • Stream 4: Gendering populism in Asia

When: May 31 to June 2, 2019

Submissions:




Panel Submissions

  • You are encouraged to submit a panel by completing the form with Panel title, Name of the chairperson of the panel, at least three presenters, including paper titles, affiliation and email contact, and abstract (max. 200 words)

Paper Submissions

  • You may submit a single paper abstract (max. 200 words).
