Visiting PhD Fellowship in Finland
PhD fellowship is open for applications to utilize the resources and facilities at UNU-WIDER. You will gain the chance to work on your PhD dissertation or thesis research on developing economies and with experienced researchers.

Where: United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research, in Helsinki
Fellowship coverage: costs of travel to and from the location of your PhD granting institution, medical insurance (for medical and hospital services resulting from sickness and accident during your stay at UNU-WIDER), and a monthly stipend of EUR 1,600 to cover living expenses in Helsinki during the period of their fellowship
Eligibility:
In order to be qualified candidate, you need to:
- Be enrolled in a PhD program
- Show your strong ability in conducting research on developing economies
- Have fluent English communication
- Possess research knowledge including good quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills
