About the scholarship
This scholarship is available to an applicant from a country that has recently been subject to a significant adverse environmental, health or security impact, where its alleviation relates to the subject area of the selected MSc programme.
Following graduation, recipients will be expected to be an active member of the UWE Bristol Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.

Eligible applicants must | have achieved the equivalent of a British first or 2:1 in an undergraduate degreebe applying from a country that recently has been subject to a significant adverse environmental, health or security impact, where its alleviation relates to the subject area of the selected MSc programmehold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only conditionbe a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK studybe classed as overseas for fees purposesnot be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/awardprovide official transcripts at the time of application. |
How to apply
If applicants meet the eligibility requirements then they will be invited to apply via their UWE Welcome portal.
Applicants will be contacted within seven working days of the close of applications (Tuesday 30 June) to confirm that they are through to the assessment stage. The assessments take place in July 2020.
Students who have deferred their application from academic year 2019/2020 to 2020/2021 will need to be invited again to apply for the scholarship
If successful, applicants will be notified via email by Thursday 30 July 2020.
If you accept the scholarship, you will need to pay your £3,000 deposit to UWE Bristol within a week of receiving your scholarship offer letter. You will also have to prove that you satisfy the UKVI criteria in terms of being able to cover living costs and the remainder of the fees.
