University of Nottingham International Undergraduate Excellence Award
We’re offering scholarships for high-achieving international students who have studied in the UK, covering £2,000 towards tuition fees in the first year of your degree course.
The application closing date for this scholarship is Friday 22 April 2022.
Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- be currently studying high school or college level qualifications within the UK
- be classed as an ‘overseas’ student for tuition fee purposes
- hold an offer to begin any full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University of Nottingham in September 2022
How to apply
You must apply for an undergraduate degree course at the University of Nottingham and receive an offer of study before you can apply for this scholarship.

Once you have received your offer, you can apply for this scholarship through the scholarships section of the NottinghamHub. Applications will close at midnight (UK time) on Friday 22 April 2022.
In your application, you will be asked about your achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing to study with us. Make sure you have enough time to prepare strong answers. We will assess your responses and academic merit when making scholarship decisions.
Scholarship criteria
You do not need to respond to your offer in UCAS before submitting your application for this scholarship. However, awards will only be made to students who firmly accept their offer to study with us in UCAS.
Scholarships will be awarded after assessing all scholarship applications. We will contact you in early June 2022 to confirm the outcome of your application.
This award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham regional scholarship or an International Sporting Excellence Award.
However, you may also be able to receive a subject scholarship from your academic school, a sports scholarship package, or an external scholarship from your country, where the combined total does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
If you are awarded this scholarship, it will be deducted from the tuition fees charged to you as a student at the University of Nottingham. We will not pay tuition fee scholarships to you directly.
