University of East Anglia International Undergraduate Scholarships in UK
These scholarships are designed to reward applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can, clearly and concisely, explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study and to the wider UEA community.
We are looking for entrants who have researched the opportunities available to them as a student at UEA, who can demonstrate a track record of community engagement and who can demonstrate how their degree will make a difference to the lives and community around them.
Applicants to the scholarship will be considered on one of our monthly panels and those successful will receive an award of £4,000, £6,000 or £10,000 per year of study.
Those in receipt of one of our country scholarships are welcome to apply for our general scholarship in order to be considered for the £10,000 amount. If successful, this amount will replace your country scholarship.
We would encourage you to submit your scholarship application as soon as you feel it is ready. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, meaning that the sooner you apply, the sooner you will find out whether you have been successful.
Please note that applications submitted after 1200 (UK time) on 14 June 2020 will not be considered.
Eligibility
When applying for this scholarship, you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for the first year of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA in September 2020. Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.
To be classified as an international fee-paying student you typically need to be a non-EU resident. Our fees and funding page has more details of who will pay international tuition fees. If you are still in doubt, then please email our planning office who can advise you further.
You will also need to be independently funding your studies, which means that you can’t apply if an organisation is sponsoring your study and paying your tuition fees. However, if you will be in receipt of a government loan, you can still apply for this scholarship.
Please note, that offer holders for medicine, occupational therapy or physiotherapy courses are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Students who are currently studying a Foundation course in the UK are not eligible to apply for this scholarship, but can apply for UEA’s International Foundation Scholarships. Scroll down for more information.
