UNITE 2030’s Youth Delegate Program 2021
We believe that youth have the power to create change. That’s why we’re looking for 75 of the world’s most driven, dedicated, and action-oriented young leaders to join the Youth Delegate Program.
About the YDP
The Youth Delegate Program is a 3-month intensive leadership and action-oriented program that supports youth between the ages of 18 and 30 to develop the leadership skills and competencies required to solve The Global Goals by the year 2030.
UNITE 2030 Youth Delegates Delegates are instrumental in organizing the biggest youth generation in history to make the world a better place. They will act as youth representatives for the UNITE 2030 community, support and connect local grassroots campaigns, amplify youth actions that are creating change, develop tools and programming to support young people everywhere to achieve the Global Goals and accelerate solutions to the SDGs.
Applications for Cohort 3 of the Youth Delegate Program are open from November 2nd until December 9th, 2020, however we review applications and conduct interviews on a rolling basis. If all spaces are filled before December 9th, we will close applications early, so we recommend applying as soon as possible.
Leadership Training
Selected Delegates undergo an intensive, action-forward Leadership Development training. All Delegates are required to attend weekly Coordination Calls with the entire cohort every Monday from 10 am – 12 pm Eastern Standard Time.
Mentorship
The Youth Delegate Program relies on peer-to-peer mentorship to support the Delegate’s personal and professional growth. Each Delegate is paired with an alumni (former Delegate) mentor who they will meet with bi-weekly over the course of the program.
Campaigning
Each Delegate joins a Working Group related to an area that interests them. Collectively, Working Groups ideate, implement, and execute on a month-long campaign at the end of the program. Working with a Working Group allow Delegates the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience implementing what they learn through the Leadership Training process. More information on each of the Working Groups can be found below.
