Studentships in Machine Learning applied to Finance
Qualified applicants are invited to apply for the full-funded and partially funded studentship in Machine Learning applied to Finance. Through the program, you will work with the supervisors who are the member of the academic faculty at the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance (OMI).
Nationality: both UK & EU students, and international candidates

Types of awards:
- Fully funded plus stipend for UK & EU students
- Partial funded plus stipend for international students
Studentship award: University tuition fees are covered at the level set for UK/EU students, as are Oxford Course Fees (c. £7,730 in total p.a.). The stipend (tax-free maintenance grant) is c. £15,000 p.a. for the first year, and at least this amount for a further two and a half years.
Eligibility:
In order to apply, you shall:
- Be UK, EU, or international students
- Be aware that the studentships are funded through the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance
- Obtain a first-class honours degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or similar
- Obtain experience in machine learning and data analysis
- Possess mathematical maturity with emphasis on estimation, inference and optimization theory
- Possess ability to code in high-level scientific development language, e.g. Python, R, Matlab;
- Have strong written and spoken communication skills in English
