Sheridan College scholarships for new international students in Canada AY 2022/2023

All new international students beginning their studies in May 2022, Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 semesters (with the exception of ESL and part-time education) will receive an entrance scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Students will be notified of their exact scholarship amount with their offer of admission.

These funds will be automatically added to students’ accounts in two equal instalments issued early in the first and second terms of study. Students must remain full-time in term two for the second instalment to be issued.

Sheridan offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries exclusively for international students. Although criteria differ for each award, recipients of scholarships and bursaries are typically students who display high academic standings, exemplary leadership skills and community involvement, as well as financial need.

Sheridan Bachelor Degree Entrance Scholarship

We’ll offer a $2,000 Entrance Scholarship to eligible students who are entering our Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs. This scholarship is to recognize international students with high academic achievement who have obtained a GPA average of 75% and higher. Students will be automatically considered for this award based on the transcripts submitted at the time of application. Award recipients will be notified via email.

Returning International Students

Sheridan International EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Award

This award is to recognize international students who have successfully completed Sheridan’s EAP program with a General Arts and Science Ontario College Certificate, who are continuing their education in one of Sheridan’s full-time postsecondary programs. This award is valued at $500 for students continuing into our Certificate, Diploma and Post-Graduate programs and $1,000 for students continuing into our Bachelor Degree programs. Sheridan’s joint degree programs with other universities are not eligible for this award. Students will be automatically considered for this award; no application will need to be submitted. Award recipients will be notified via email.

Sheridan International Outstanding Achievement in a Certificate, Diploma or Post-Graduate Scholarship – Winter 2022

Sixteen (16) scholarships of $1,000 each will be available to returning Sheridan international students enrolled full-time (excludes co-op, ESL and joint degree programs) in certificate, diploma or post-graduate programs (Bachelor Degrees excluded) for the Winter 2022 term. Students must demonstrate good academic standing: GPA of 3.0 or higher during the last full-time academic semester within the last year in the current program (co-op terms excluded).

Applications will open on the Online Awards System on December 14, 2021 and close on February 4, 2022.
