Research Grant Programme in Tokyo, Japan

This Research grant aim at financially support an academic and scientific research project that would highly contribute to the development of one country. If you care about Science and want to conduct a research, please consider this program.

Where: Nagao Natural Environment Foundation, Tokyo, Japan

Nationality: Be a citizens from developing countries in Asia-Pacific region. Those countries are Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Kiribati, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.  

Value of Scholarship: The maximum grant size in this programme is 500,000 Japanese yen per project for a maximum duration of two year.

Eligible:

An Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of developing country in the Asia-Pacific Region
  • Be a researcher or Scientist who work full-time or are studying in a Doctoral Course, conducting research
  • Have qualified experience and Skills in managing and conduct research project.
  • Be able to communicate in English
  • Do not have any scholarship relate to the NEF





Research Proposal Project must:

  • Be a scientific research related to the Nature Conservation of the applicants’ home country
  • Have its main focus on Living Organisms
  • The research shall involve in fieldwork, collecting data.
  • Applicant has to be the owner of the project.
  • The research will be able to finish in 2 years
  • Will be carried out in Applicant’s current reside.

Applicants are required to submit A Completed Application Form, and a Recommendation Letter to the NEF Secretariat by e-mail (secretariat@nagaofoundation.or.jp) in MS Word or PDF or by fax (+81-3-6659-2272).
