Research Fellowship Program 2019 in Japan (Fully Funded)

The Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) is a nongovernmental organization that fund international scholars in the field of Academic research in various area.  During this fellowship program, scholars will get to conduct their research in various research institution in Japan. Field of Research:

The following research fields are first priorities:

1. Natural Science
2. Engineering
3. Medicine

Duration of Research Fellowship: 3 to 6 months, between April 2019 and March 2019

Number of Scholars: 20 researchers

Value of scholarship:

• Monthly allowance (¥220,000- per month)
• Insurance
• Round trip air-fare
• Start-up Fund upon arrival (¥120,000)

Eligible:

• Are scholars from outside of Japan; a non-Japanese nationality
• Must obtain a Letter of Invitation from host institutions in Japan.
• Must hold a PH.D. (Doctorate) degree, or an equivalent academic degree that is recognized by the MIF
• Must be at the age of 49 years old or younger at the application period
• Must have some significant ability in English and Japanese language
• Applicants shouldn’t have a past or current staying experience in Japan
• Applicants should be employed in their home countries
• Must be in good health.

To apply for this program, first thing is to find and Apply to one of Research Institute in Japan. After being accepted to that institution, you must submit Application Documents by post to The Matsumae International Foundation by deadline to get funding.

5. A letter of Recommendation
6. Certified copies of all academic record.
7. A letter of invitation signed by the professor/scholar-in-charge at the host institution.
