Northern Arizona University Global Achievement Award in USA

The Global Achievement Award is a one-time award split over the fall and spring semesters, applied to out-of-state tuition only. The maximum award amount is $5,000 for the academic year. This award requires a minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA, as well as full-time enrollment for each semester of the award. If you are eligible for and choose to take a reduced course load during any semester, it will impact the amount of the award accordingly. If you are unsure if you will achieve the minimum GPA for application, please contact ISSS.

To be eligible for this award, you must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below. Awards are highly competitive and eligibility does not guarantee an award. Other factors may be taken into consideration.

Eligibility requirementsAccordion Open

  • F-1 undergraduate degree seeking student
  • Must have completed 12 units of coursework by the end of the semester in which you apply
  • Must be paying full out-of-state tuition with family funds (sponsored students or students receiving tuition discounts are not eligible)
  • Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA at the end of the spring 2021 semester

Students ineligible to apply include:

  • Students receiving the International Excellence Award
  • Dual-degree students or students receiving other tuition discounts
  • Arizona-Sonora Scholarship recipients
  • Program in Intensive English students, including students in the Bridge program
  • Students sponsored by governments or other organizations
