Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships in the UK
We are pleased to offer 13 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply to full-time undergraduate studies.

Available scholarships
There are 11 up to 50% tuition fee scholarships and two 100% tuition fee scholarships.

50% or 100% of tuition fees
Start date and duration
September 2023 for the full duration of the degree programme
Application closing date
- 30th March 2023 – Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, USA
- 27th April 2023 – India, Malaysia, Ukraine

Eligibility criteria
50% scholarships
To be considered for the up to 50% scholarships applicants must:
- be domiciled in one of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, USA
- be assessed as international for fee purposes:
- hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2023/24 academic year
- already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent
We will assess eligible candidates according to evidence of:
- academic ability
- evidence of commitment to studies
- quality of application

100% scholarships
To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:
- be domiciled in one the following countries: USA, India, Ukraine
- be assessed as international for fee purposes
- hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2023/24 academic year
- already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
