Netherlands Fellowship (NFP) for Short Courses for Developing Countries

Do you want to visit Netherlands? Do you also want to take short courses along your visit? Here is the chance you should try.

Where: Leiden University

Nationality: Cambodians are included

Award: costs of living, tuition fee, visas, travel and insurance

Duration: minimum of 12 days and a maximum of 365 days

Important information:

  • You are unconditionally admitted to the short courses
  • You are nominated by your employer and have an employer’s statement that complies with the format EP-Nuffic has provided
  • You have an official and valid passport.
  • Applicants are not employed by an organisation that has its own means of staff development.
  • You can only achieve one course at a time.

Themes of the fellowship:

  • 35% of the budget is earmarked for fellowships with a thematic focus on food security and private sector development




  • 50% of the budget is earmarked for applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa
  • 50% of the fellowships is earmarked for female applicants

Application rounds:

  1. February/March 2017 is for short courses starting between 28 July 2017 and 23 November 2017.
  2. June/July 2017 
  3. September/October 2017

As NFP is currently being evaluated, the deadlines of June/July 2017 and September/October 2017 are subject to change. More information about these application rounds will be published in due course.
