MMEG US-Canada, Africa, Trinity Program Study Grants for Developing Countries

Do you know what the MMEG is? MMEG is a study grant which award to women from developing and middle-income countries upon obtainment of their degree. Those people upon their return would work to improve the lives of women and children in their community.

Nationality:

Scholarships type: There are three types where student can apply to study in US-Canada, Africa and Trinity Washington University.  For more detail information, please go to official website.

Eligible:

  • Must be at least 25 years old
  • Be a national of eligible countries
  • Be enrolled (not just accepted) at an accredited academic institution when submitting application; and plan to be enrolled for a full academic term after award of the grant by the Board;
  • Not be related to a World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or International American Development Bank
  • Already be enrolled as a full time student, with relevant student visa in national passport,
  • Not hold a US citizenship permanent residency (green card) or Canadian citizenship or Canadian landed immigrant status (For someone who apply for US and Canada program)
  • Not be related to Trinity staff (For someone who apply for Trinity Washington program)




How to apply:

In order to apply, you have to create your own account and work in online platform. You can go to this link and apply online https://mmeg.embark.com/auth/login. The thing is, you also need to read Application Checklist and FAQs (Where you can find in official website) before applying for the scholarship.

Important documents:

  • Identification card with photo
  • Most recent proof of official registration from university (not their acceptance letter);
  • Most recent official university transcript or report
  • Visa page or study permit page within current passport
  • Brief paragraphs of your personal story, and a description of how your studies, experiences and future plans are linked to your commitment to women and children in developing countries;
  • An Estimate of your financial status
  • A summary of your thesis
  • Two reference letters

Deadline:

  • US-Canada program: January 15th
  • Africa: September 13th
  • Trinity: January 15th
