Application deadline: January 1, 2021, for Spring intake

Manhattanville has a long history of rewarding students of high academic achievement regardless of their financial need. Each applicant is automatically evaluated for merit awards and no additional application is needed for consideration.

Annual renewal of all scholarships is based on:

  1. Maintaining a minimum grade point average and
  2. Attending each semester on a full-time basis (12 credits).


Fall 2020 Freshman Merit Awards

Chairperson’s Scholarship$25,000 per year
Board Of Trustees’ Scholarship$23,000 per year
President’s Scholarship$21,000 per year
Provost’s Scholarship$17,000 per year
Dean’s Award$10,000 per year

Fall 2020 International Transfer Scholarships

Transfer Excellence$20,000 per year
Transfer Achievement$18,000 per year
Transfer Merit$16,000 per year
Transfer Distinction   $12,000 per year
Transfer Scholar$10,000 per year

Valiant Legacy Award

Manhattanville College is pleased to offer a $2,000 award to an incoming student whose grandparent, parent or sibling is a Manhattanville alumnus/a. This award applies to incoming first-years or transfers who will be enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking students. The Valiant Legacy Award is renewable for a maximum of four years and can be combined with all other Manhattanville-funded awards, with the exception of tuition-exchange programs.

Although a separate application is not required, applicants must provide the name of the qualifying family member in the form below and/or within the Admissions application; please indicate the name and relationship of the relative who attended Manhattanville and what year they received a degree. Learn more.

Sacred Heart Scholarship

The Sacred Heart Scholarship is a half tuition scholarship for freshman candidates graduating from a domestic or international school founded by the Society of the Sacred Heart. For more information contact Lena.Adely@mville.edu

Fine Arts Scholarships

Dance/theatre and music awards are given based on the student’s audition. The amount awarded depends upon each individual audition. Please click here for audition requirements.

Art awards are given based on the student’s portfolio. It is suggested that students include in their portfolio works in multiple media when possible. Approximately 15 images may be submitted in slide or digital format with an accompanying description sheet. Click here to learn more about how to submit your images.

Sister Mary T. Clark, RSCJ Center Scholarship

We offer those students with leadership, community service and/or social justice experience the opportunity to apply for the Sister Mary T. Clark, RSCJ Center Scholarship. By offering scholarships of $2,000 per year, we hope to reward those students who will most likely continue on the service path, while also advancing our values and missions.
