Eligible:

  • Applicants must apply to and receive an offer of a place on a full-time MA Multimedia Journalism degree for September 2018 entry
  • Must demonstrate their interest promoting and advocating BME community issues
  • The scholarship is not full-funded
  •  Can be a citizen of any country
  • This scholarship may not be added to other University bursaries or scholarships, such as the Vice-Chancellor’s scholarships

  1. First, you must apply to, and receive an offer to the school program at the University
  2.   • In the form, Applicants are asked to write a personal statement of approximately 1000 words which should cover Interest in writing and/or debating about BME issues, examples of how to tackle stereotypes and myths about BME communities through journalism, ways to improve communication between BME communities and host communities, and how you would be an advocate and champion for BME community issues during the program.
