LEARN Postdoctoral Fellowship in New Zealand

This Postdoctoral Fellowship is aim at providing funds to an outstanding scientist from a developing country to complete a research project in New Zealand in an area aligned with livestock greenhouse gas mitigation. If you are interested, please find further information below.

Duration of program: Between 12 months and 2 years

Program activities: Fellows will get to complete a research project within time frame given, on the area of livestock greenhouse gas mitigation.

Funding:

  • Up to NZD$50,000 per year for a maximum of two years to cover living expenses while inNew Zealand (pro rata to be calculated on time spent in New Zealand).
  • Up to NZD$5,000 will be provided for return economy class airfares and travel/medicalinsurance.
  • Up to NZD$5,000 will be provided to assist with research costs associated with the project.

Eligible:

  • Have completed their PhD in the last 5 years
  • Be an Outstanding and successful researcher
  • Be employed in an area of research aligned with livestock greenhouse gas mitigation in their home country.
  • Are supported to apply for this fellowship by their employer
  • Have a mentor in New Zealand research organisation (host)
  • Come from eligible countries.
  • Have good common in English
