JASSO Japanese Language and Culture Studies Program students, Hokkaido University
Application deadline: October 30, 2020.
Eligibility:
- Students with a major in Japanese language or culture in the undergraduate courses of university –wide agreement partners of Hokkaido University. (department – wide agreement partners not eligible).
- Applicants should have at least a N3 JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), equivalent or higher proficiency in Japanese at the time of application: know 500 or more kanji, able to understand spoken conversation, write and read simple sentences
- Applicants must possess a good academic record at university level.
- NOTE: First-year students are not eligible to apply. Applications from students whose proficiency in Japanese does not meet the requirements will not be accepted. Any students who are found to be at the introductory level by the placement test which is conducted by Hokkaido University after arrival will not be able to complete the program.
Scholarship Term:
From April 2021 to August 2021 (Spring semester). The JASSO scholarship is available only for the Half-Year course applicants who meet the JASSO requirements.
Benefits:
Monthly stipend: ¥80,000 (expected amount)
