Helmut-Schmidt-Programme Fully Funded Master Degree in Germany

Helmut-Schmidt-Programme is a Master’s scholarships provided to the field of Public Policy and Good Governance. Support by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the program give scholarship to international student who want to promote democracy, and social justice in the world, especially in their home country.

Where: Partnered Universities with DAAD, Germany

Nationality: Candidates coming from countries of Africa, Latin-America, South Asia and Southeast Asia, Central Asia, from countries in the Middle East and Ukraine.

Degree Program: Master’s program in Public policy and Good governance (Course start September/October, 2019)

Universities to be chosen from:

  1. Hertie School of Governance, Berlin: Master of Public Policy (MPP)
  2. Universität Duisburg-Essen: Master of Development and Governance
  3. Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt: Master of Public Policy (MPP)
  4. Leuphana Universität Lüneburg: Public Economics, Law and Politics (PELP)
  5. Hochschule Osnabrück: Management in Non-Profit-Organisations
  6. Universität Osnabrück: Master of Democratic Governance and Civil Society
  7. Universität Passau: Master of Governance and Public Policy
  8. Universität Potsdam: Master of Public Management (MPM)

Value of scholarship and benefit:

  • 6-months German language course
  • Monthly allowance of 850 €.
  • Health Insurance
  • Tuition fee
  • Travel allowance and research subsidy




Eligible:

  • Candidates coming from Eligible countries
  • Have to choose one of the above universities for their Master’s
  • Meet all the admission requirement to the Master of your chose
  • Can apply to two Universities at Maximum
  • Must be accepted to the admission offer of the University

How to apply:

To apply for this scholarship, Candidates must submit the application for the selected master`s courses and for the DAAD scholarship to the respective universities only. document to the University admission office. The application will not be considered if they send it to DAAD.

  • DAAD application form for research grants and study Scholarships
  • Motivation letter with hand sign
  • Full curriculum Vitae with hand sign
  • Copies of acquired university degrees
  • Copies of official transcript record
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Copies of school leaving certificate or high school diploma
  • Recent Language certificates (German and English)
