Leadership in Medicine: Southeast Asia is a one-year program which employs an innovative, interactive model of blended-learning that combines live teaching with recorded online lecture materials. The program curriculum is comprised of virtual class meetings held via webinar, self-paced study via recorded online lectures, and three intensive workshops.

Program Leadership
Dr. Sayeed K. Malek is the Clinical Director of Transplant at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He is also the QAPI (Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement) Physician Lead, responsible for all transplant programs at his hospital. Dr. Malek’s interests and major focus include pancreas transplantation, islet auto transplantation, and living donor kidney transplantation. His research interest also include developing techniques for stem cell transplant diabetes.
Sunway Scholarship
Supported by Sunway University and Sunway Medical Centre a limited number of scholarships are available for students in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Cambodia and Myanmar. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and demonstrate financial need, with reductions given at 50% or 25%.
