Global Peace Summit Turkey 2020

Global Peace Summit Turkey 2020 (GPST) is providing opportunities too extraordinary young, competent and enthusiastic peace builders from 100+ countries. One, we develop their ideas and road maps moving closer to achieving the sustainable development goals. Two, we advocate for peace in their communities in order to counter extreme violence, hate and all forms of discrimination.

This summit aims to inspire youth to sharpen skills of peace education, facilitate the exchange of ideas and project sharing, and new network to form with like-minded individuals and world leaders.

This summit will provide an opportunity to students and young leaders to bring solutions and projects on “Reshaping Youth Response to UNSDGs” by participation in different peace sessions, talks, group discussions and activities with international delegates and speakers.

Global Peace Summit Turkey 2020 will foster mutual understanding and harness capacity building of youth. Social harmony, exposure, and ideation creates new impact. GPST also aims to engage young people in conflict resolution, amplify their voice for social justice and create harmonious environment among communities & societies.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. How many seats are available for the summit?

There will be 200 seats in total. It will be broken into three categories: Fully funded, partially funded and self-funded.

There will be 20 fully-funded spots, 50 partially funded spots, and 130 self-funded seats.

The placement of applicants into such categories is at the discretion of the Global Peace Chain selection committee and based on the participants’ application, social experience, and leadership.

2. What does fully funded, partially funded, and self-funded mean?

I. Fully funded applicants will be provided an Air-Ticket, Accommodation, Certificate, Meals (Breakfast and Lunch), Conference Kit, Conference Fee, Site Seeing, Cultural Evening Ceremony, Celebration Party

ii. Partially funded applicants will be provided Accommodation, Certificate, Meals (Breakfast and Lunch), Conference Kit, Conference Fee, Site Seeing, Cultural Evening Ceremony, Celebration Party

iii. Self-funded applicants will be provided Certificate, Conference Kit, Conference Fee, Site Seeing, Cultural Evening Ceremony, Celebration Party

3. Is the application fee refundable? Do I still have to pay the application fee if I qualify for a fully funded spot?

The application is Not Refundable under any circumstance. IF you qualify for a fully/partial funded spot, you still must pay the application fee.

4.What if I do not have a passport?

It is highly recommended that all applicants hold a valid passport in order to travel. But, you can apply by attaching your National ID in the passport section and purchase a passport until results are announced. Your privacy is our top priority. These details will be safe and secure with Global Peace Chain.

5. How do I pay the application fee?

Three methods for application fee is given at Fee section. You can pick the most feasible and most practical method for you.

6.What if PayPal is not available in my country?

We offer a direct bank transfer option available in the application form fee section area.

7.When is the deadline to submit the application?

August 30th, 2020 at 11:59 EST.

8. When will I be informed on the decision of my application?

September 07th, 2020

9.Is It possible to update my application after it has been submitted?

Due to the high volume of applications, we recommend applicants submit an application to the best of their abilities. Applications cannot be edited after submission. 

10.What is the expected weather at the time of the summit in Turkey?

Turkey has an average temperature of 20 Celsius/ 68 Fahrenheit during the month of October.

11.How Global Peace Chain will ensure safety of delegates due to Pandemic Covid-19?

Global Peace Chain management will ensure venue disinfection, routine fever testing, social distancing, gloves, mask and hands sanitizer facilities following Turkish Government guidelines.

12.What is Selection Criteria?

Applicant will submit only one general open application for the defined categories.Selection committee will evaluate your application basis on your social achievements and allocate the best fit category to your application.

13.Will Global Peace Chain provide visa services?

Global Peace Chain will only provide visa guide and does not guarantee any visa to any category of delegates.

16.Does Global Peace Chain assist delegates travel plan?
