ASEAN YOUTH SOCIAL JOURNALISM CONTEST

We are pleased to announce the launching of the ASEAN Youth Social Journalism Contest 2019 exploring the theme of “the importance of responsive and transparent government in their day-to-day lives, promoting the ideals of fairness, equity, and transparency in their communities and at the ASEAN regional level”. This contest is supported by the U.S. Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S Mission to ASEAN as well as the ASEAN Foundation, the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth, and the ASEAN Secretariat.
We invite youth citizens of ASEAN to submit a maximum 600-word-essay on what responsive and transparent government mean to youth.
Two members from each ASEAN country will be selected to travel to Brunei Darussalam, to attend a four-day workshop to develop and implement a social awareness activity in their respective countries. Attractive prizes await for the top three winners!
Eligible contestants must be 18-30 years of age by June 30th, 2019 and be ASEAN citizens residing in their home country. Find the Application Form and submit your essays in http://bit.ly/AYSJ2019 before or by June 30th, 2019.
