EMERGING LEADERSHIP FOR ASIA’S FUTURE PROGRAM

The Asia Foundation is searching for its 7th cohort of highly talented Development Fellows. Applications will be accepted through October 07, 2019.

The 2020 program will consist of two intensive modules, including two weeks in Asia in the spring and another two weeks in the United States in the fall, allowing Fellows to stay in their current occupations during the Fellowship year. The program will commence in March 2020 in Laos, and in September the Fellows will visit San Francisco and Washington, D.C. A professional development award of US $5,000 will also be provided to each Fellow.

ELIGIBILITIES
1. Be resident nationals or citizens of the following countries where The Asia Foundation has programs: Afghanistan; Bangladesh; Cambodia; China; India; Indonesia; Japan; Korea; Laos; Malaysia; Mongolia; Myanmar; Nepal; Pakistan; Philippines; Singapore; Sri Lanka; Thailand; Timor-Leste; and, Vietnam.
2. Be under 40 years of age by January 1, 2020.
3. Have a demonstrable record of experience and accomplishment related to The Asia Foundation’sfields of expertise: governance and law, economic development, women’s empowerment, environment, and regional cooperation.
