FULLY FUNDED! DAAD-EPOS (Developing countries) Scholarship – Master of Science in Global Urban Health 2024-25, U Freiburg, Germany

The Master of Science in Global Urban Health (MSc GUH) at the University of Freiburg is an interdisciplinary, modular course based on national and international Global Health and Urban Health concepts and is in line with international strategies such as the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). The aim of the course is to convey knowledge, skills and competences concerning the identification and management of risk factors for health in urban areas globally, with a focus in low- and middle-income countries.
The Master of Science in Global Urban Health will teach you to:
- develop analytical and management skills to meet the challenges of urban health,
- identify and quantify biological, psychological and social threats to health and risk factors in urban areas,
- develop knowledge and skills in the fields of prevention, control, program development, monitoring and evaluation for improving urban health,
- design and conduct research projects in the field of urban health,
- make proactive, evidence-based decisions and gain leadership qualities and effective working skills in accordance with your professional background,
- enhance independent and reflective thinking and inspire an interest for lifelong learning.
DAAD EPOS Scholarship
There is a limited number of scholarships provided by the DAAD EPOS. Students who are eligible and wish to apply for the EPOS scholarship must send all documents required by our program, as well as by the scholarship by 15 October 2023 (academic year 2024/2025).
About the Scholarship
The Master in Global Urban Health is part of the DAAD EPOS Scholarship (Development-Related Postgraduate Courses). Only a limited number of scholarships will be provided. Click HERE to read about the scholarship details.
Target Group
Young professionals from developing countries (DAC countries) with an academic degree far above average and with at least two years of relevant professional experience.

Application Process
Students who are eligible and wish to apply for the EPOS scholarship must send all the required documents on this CHECKLIST before 15 October (applications for the cohort starting in the following year) to the following e-mail: mscguh@zmg.uni-freiburg.de.
Applications that don’t follow the guidelines will not be accepted.
