Call for Scholarship Application for the 2018 Balassi Summer University
Balassi Summer University is calling for applications to apply the four-week long curses in order to enhance and strengthen the Hungarian language skills and cultural knowledge of the participants in the program.
Nationality: both Hungarian descent and non-Hungarian descent
Where: Balassi Institute, Budapest, Hungary
Scholarship award: Tuition fee, Course materials, Student residence (2-3 persons per room), three meals a day, 30-day pass for public transportation, attending the cultural programs in the afternoons, attending the excursions
Duration of the course: four-week
When: 23 July, 2018 – 17 August, 2018
Number of awards: up to 60
Eligibility:
In order to be considered for the program, you should:
- At least 18 years old.
- Have volunteer work, references from your universities, and any other activities related to the Hungarian culture.
- Be able to cover some expenses including Travel to and from Hungary, Visa, and Health Insurance
What are required documents?
- CV
- An essay of about 200 words about why you would like to study in Hungary and how you will use the knowledge you gain here in your home country
- Copy of your passport
- Not mandatory but recommended, a reference letter from a volunteer organization or a recognized individual
