Call for applications! The Epson International Scholarship 2023-24, University of Tohoku, Japan

Deadline for applications: November 24, 2022

The Epson International Scholarship Foundation has announced the call for applications for the 2023 academic year. If you are interested in applying, please submit your application to the Academic Affairs Section of the Graduate School of Life Sciences by November 24, 2022 (Thursday). If it is difficult to meet the deadline, please contact us in advance.

Please note that applicants who have already been selected for other scholarships in the 2023 academic year or who are in the process of applying (including direct application) will not be eligible for selection.

Eligibility 

*Refer to the application guidelines for details.

– Those who are regular graduate students as of April 2023 and have at least one year of enrollment left.
– Those who have no plans to receive any other scholarships after April 2023 and have not already applied for any.
– Those who are able to participate and cooperate in the Foundation’s activities.
– Those who are able to communicate in Japanese.

Amount

100,000 yen per month

Period

From April 2023 until the end of the required minimum period of study (maximum 2 years)

Documents for submission *The application documents should be written in Japanese and in the applicant’s own handwriting.
– Scholarship application form (designated form): 1 sheet of A4 paper
– Personal Statement (designated form): 4 sheets of A4 paper
– Letter of recommendation (designated form): to be prepared by the academic advisor
– Certificate of enrollment
* For those who will become a regular students in April 2023, or those who will enter a higher-level course, please submit a copy of the document certifying that you have passed the exam.
– Transcript of Academic Records: Up to the most recent one from the undergraduate school
– A copy of the resident certificate (photocopy is acceptable)
