Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides this scholarship to recognise and support top achieving international students from the ASEAN region in their journey in becoming great graduates of AUT.

Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam.

North Asia

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides this scholarship to recognise and support international students from the North Asia region in their journey in becoming great graduates of AUT.

Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries/regions: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Republic of Korea.

South Asia

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides this scholarship to recognise and support top achieving international students from South Asia in their journey in becoming great graduates of AUT.

Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives.

Amount and Type of Award:

  • NZD$5,000 contribution to fees.

Tenure:

  • The scholarship is awarded for one year only.

Important Information:

  • Eligible programmes are bachelor’s degree level or above (excluding doctoral) and 120 points or more in duration.
  • International students are not citizens, permanent residents nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia. 
  •  The scholarship will be paid as a compulsory fees credit towards the first year of study at AUT.
  •  AUT is not obliged to make an award if there is no candidate of sufficient merit. 
  •  The regulations are periodically reviewed by the University Scholarships Committee and are subject to change.
