Australia Awards benefits Australia Awards Scholarships are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the Australian education institution, including any preparatory training.

Scholarship recipients will receive the following:

• return air travel

• a one-off establishment allowance on arrival

• full tuition fees

• contribution to living expenses

• introductory academic program

• Overseas Student Health Cover for the duration of the Scholarship

• supplementary academic support

• fieldwork allowance (for research students only).

Before you apply

Consider personal goals and development needs Applicants are expected to have clear ideas about how they will contribute to development in Cambodia upon their return.

They should consider the relationship between their academic and professional goals and their country’s economic growth and poverty reduction needs. Researching university courses The Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) has information on all Australian universities with courses available to international students.

and individual university websites can assist in your research by clarifying:

• if a course is available to international students

• details of the course content to compare course components

• the English language requirements for selected courses.
