APYE Vietnam 2020 is now open for Applications

Hosted by Urban Youth Academy and the local social enterprise Innovation Incubator Social Company Limited, APYE Vietnam aims to provide an experiential platform that can actively engage young people aged 18 to 30 and local communities in localizing the SDGs, through social innovation and entrepreneurship.

APYE is structured into a two-week program, which agenda furnishes its delegates with leadership training, first-hand experience in local communities, and idea hatching spaces facilitated by the program’s experienced mentors & partners. Potential projects developed from the program will be incubated during the follow-up stage called Fellowship.

Eligibilities

Applicants must be between 18-30 years old with less than 3 years of working experience in social entrepreneurship.
Applicants must be available to join the full program from 09 to 21 February 2020.
Interested in social innovation, social entrepreneurship, and achieving SDGs.

Application Process

Delegate Fee

Early Bird Application Round (15 – 31 October 2019)

For International Delegate: 850 USD*
For Vietnam Delegate: 500 USD or 11.750.000 VND* (included 50% discount on Delegation Fee for Vietnamese delegates)

Normal Application Round (01 November – 05 December 2019)

For International Delegate: 1000 USD*
For Vietnam Delegate: 500 USD or 11.750.000 VND* (included 50% discount on Delegation Fee for Vietnamese delegates)

Delegation Fee covers all expenses for all activities within the program agenda, EXCLUDING flight tickets and VISA cost. Delegates do not need to pay any other fee during the program apart from the Delegation Fee.

The following logistics are included for the 13-day program:

Hotel & Accommodation
Daily Transportation & Airport Reception
Transportation & Homestay in Local Immersion sites
3 Meals per Day & Snacks
Special Events – Cultural Night & Youth Symposium
And other program activities

Sponsorship Program

We offer sponsorships to individuals who demonstrate passion, solid track records in social entrepreneurship, and commitment to APYE’s follow-up activities. For the international applicants who are qualified for sponsorships, the sponsored amount will be deducted directly to the standard delegate fee of 1,000 USD.

For Vietnamese Applicants:

To encourage the participation of the Vietnamese youth, each qualified Vietnamese delegate will receive a sponsorship of 50% without going through further screening.

Delegate fee for all Vietnamese applicants is now 500 USD or 11.750.000 VND (no other discount shall be further applied).

How to apply for the Sponsorship Program?

Applicants who wish to apply for sponsorship are required to submit their CVs when filling the standard application form (LINK). If you experience any technical issues in attaching the CV link to the form, please kindly send your CV to apye.vn@urbanyouthac.org.

We strongly encourage our applicants to source your own funding to participate in the program from your university, local organization or government. Please drop an email to apye.vn@urbanyouthac.org if you need an invitation letter to support your funding application.
