Applications for the Victorian International Education Awards 2018!
There’s just one week left to apply for the Victorian International Education Awards(VIEAs) 2018.
The VIEAs 2018, presented by Study Melbourne, are an initiative of the Victorian Government. The awards support the international education sector, promote best practice in the sector, and recognise the contribution education providers and international students make to the Victorian community.
Applications close at midnight on Sunday 17 June 2018.
Who can apply
Students and international education/service providers are encouraged to submit their applications in the main categories of student awards and provider awards.
For award recipients
All student award winners, with the exception of the International Alumnus of the Year, will be awarded up to $10,000 to contribute to their study at an educational institution in Victoria, while the recipient of the ‘Premier’s Award – International Student of the Year’ will receive an additional $10,000 towards their studies.
Provider award winners will receive formal recognition of their outstanding contribution to the international education sector. A suite of exclusive digital assets will be available to showcase winning providers’ status as an award winner, which can be used in marketing and promotional activities.
Award categories
The seven student award categories are:
- International Student of the Year – English Language Training
- International Student of the Year – VET
- International Student of the Year – Higher Education
- International Student of the Year – Research
- International Student of the Year – Regional
- International Alumnus of the Year
- Victorian Student of the Year – Internationalisation
The provider awards categories are:
- Excellence in International Education – TAFE
- Excellence in International Education – University
- Excellence in International Education – English Language
- Excellence in International Education – Private Education and Training
- Excellence in International Student Experience
- Excellence in International Student Employability and Career Development
- Excellence in Innovation in Partnership and International Engagement
In addition, there will be two Premier’s awards selected from nominees of student and provider awards, which will recognise an overall International Student of the Year and International Education/Service Provider.
