AIS Scholarship at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand 2024/25
In January 2022, an agreement was signed with Advanced Wireless Network Company Limited (AWN), a subsidiary of Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), for the company to support five full Master’s scholarships starting from the August 2022 intake to August 2026. The scholarships will be provided to AWN employees or AIT Thai students enrolled in any program (preferably Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) Systems Engineering) in the School of Engineering & Technology (SET).
The Advanced Info Services Public Company Limited (AIS) founded since 1986, operates a telecommunication business, including mobile network service, fixed broadband service, and digital services. AIS is operating in three core businesses: (1) Mobile Phone Business (2) Fixed Broadband Business and (3) Digital Service Business.
The ADVANCED WIRELESS NETWORK COMPANY LIMITED (AWN), an affiliate of AIS, founded in 2005, licensed to operate and service Telecommunication business in Thailand.
- Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI), and Internet of Things (IoT), School of Engineering and Technology (SET).
Criteria
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or any related field with GPA at least 2.75, preferably in Cloud Engineer, Cyber Security, Data Engineer, Internet of Things Engineer or Network Security Engineer.
– Thai nationality age between 25-35 years (AIS Employee or Non-AIS employee)
– Working experiences at least 3 year in Business Intelligence/Data Analytic
– Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytic, forecasting/predictive analytic, experimental design and optimization algorithms.
– Technical expertise regarding data modeling, data mining, segmentation techniques, unstructured data skills, and other data science.
– Programming skills in big data frameworks and statistical modeling such as SAS, R, and Python, CE Techniques.
– Experience in data visualization tools.
– Knowledge/experience in machine learning.
– Domain knowledge of mobile, network and telecommunication technology and services would be advantages
– Research and thesis in related topic based on AIS areas of interest and get approval. - Internet of Things (IoT) Systems Engineering
Criteria
– Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer sciences or any related field with GPA at least 2.75
– Thai nationality age between 25-35 years.
– Strong background in IoT at least 3 year
– Cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, AI and machine learning as applied to industrial software solutions or customer platform
– Knowledge of solutions covering operational excellence, process performance including simulation, asset performance management, connected worker, sustainability solutions and cyber security.
– Proven experience in driving digital development for B2B environment; Industrial network, Process, Energy, Software, Technology and Automation would be advantages
– Research and thesis in related topic based on AIS areas of interest and get approval.
