WESTERN NEW ENGLAND UNIVERSITY WOMEN IN ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

From healthcare to technology, communication to climate change, women will play a critical role in solving the greatest challenges facing our planet and society. Western New England University is committed to preparing our engineering alumnae to be innovative leaders and problem-solvers.

Through the $5,000 Women in Engineering Scholarship, Western New England is proud to inspire the next generation of women in biomedical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering.

For fall 2020, this $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to incoming female first-year students enrolling full-time at the College of Engineering. The scholarship is renewable for all years of undergraduate study, providing the student maintains full-time status at the College of Engineering and is meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) per the course catalogue.

This amount is in addition to the academic merit scholarships, which can be up to $22,000 per year.

Students at the College of Engineering have opportunities to participate in design, innovation, and entrepreneurship from day one until graduation day. Theoretical and applied learning, team-based projects, formal presentations, internships, study abroad, and capstone Senior Design Projects provide our graduates with the foundational and transferrable skills that distinguish them in the job market.

We look forward to seeing how the recipients of this scholarship will shape the world we all will share.

To be considered for a Women in Engineering Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be a female, full-time first-year student enrolling for fall 2020
  • Apply online to a program in the College of Engineering.
