Northern Territory Government Scholarship for International Students, Australia
Study in Australia’s Northern Territory scholarships are provided by the Northern Territory Government and education providers to talented students from all over the world to study in Australia’s Northern Territory.
How to apply
Complete the application form and submit it to the education provider that you have received an offer of admission from.
Where can you apply?
The following education providers offer the Study in Australia’s Northern Territory scholarships:
- Alana Kaye College
- Australian Careers College
- Charles Darwin University
- International House Darwin
- Northern Territory Government schools
- St John’s Catholic College
- The Essington International School Darwin
When can you apply?
Charles Darwin University: applications for Semester one close 31 January 2020 and Semester two close 31 May 2020.
All other providers: applications are open throughout the year.
How much is the scholarship valued at?
The scholarships are worth:
- Higher education – $12 000
- Schools – $10 000
- Vocational education and training – $7500
- English language – $5000
The scholarship amount is for your first semester or year of tuition fees with your education and training provider.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- submit their completed application to their Northern Territory education provider
- have applied and obtained an offer of admission to study in the Northern Territory
- have a demonstrated record of academic excellence, community engagement and leadership
- meet the Northern Territory education or training provider’s academic and English entry criteria
- be planning to move to the Northern Territory from overseas or interstate
- not already be studying in the Northern Territory, or with a Northern Territory education provider
- not hold any other scholarship
- have submitted a completed scholarship application to your Northern Territory education provider, and
- not hold current Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizenship.
How your application is assessed
Your education provider will accept and assess your application then submit to StudyNT for final review and endorsement.
If your application is successful
If your application is successful, your education provider will notify you. You will need to sign a deed of agreement confirming you will continue to meet the scholarship criteria and terms. This is a legally binding agreement. You need to return this to StudyNT through your education provider.
You will also need to send through a 300 word bio and a high resolution photo of yourself (minimum 2MB) that we can use to profile you on official website. This will be returned to StudyNT by your education provider.
How your scholarship is paid
Your scholarship is to reduce your fees for your first semester or year of tuition with your education provider. If you have any questions contact your education provider directly.
