2021 Tokyo YWCA ‘Japanese Mothers for International Students Scholarship

I. Target (As of April 2021)
Undergraduate student: 1st or 2nd year

Graduate students and Research students are not eligible to apply.


II. Eligibility (As of April 2021)
Eligibility requirements for this scholarship are that you must

  1. hold a “Student” visa;
  2. be enrolled as an undergraduate student as of April 2021;
  3. be able to attend interviews and meetings at Tokyo YWCA that will be held 3 times a year;
  4. not receive scholarship (over JPY 360,000 per year) from other institutions.
    III. Scholarship
  5. Amount: JPY 30,000 monthly
  6. Duration: 1 year (April 2021 – March 2022)
    IV. Number Total number of the recruitment by Foundation: Few students
    V. Selection
    Early June, 2021 First-Round Selection: Document Review
    June 19, 2021 Second-Round Selection: Interview by YWCA
    July 7, 2021 Notification of Selection Results
    VI. Application Period and Submission
    Application period: May 6, 2021 through May 12, 2021
